Homecoming
The Glory Days
We invite you to join us as kick off the brand-new year with a special time of prayer and fasting starting Monday, January 1st, through Sunday, January 21st.
This is such a powerful and life-changing time of year for our Celebration Church family,
and we are expecting 2024 will be the best yet!
WHAT IS BIBLICAL FASTING?
Fasting is essentially giving up food (or something else) for a period of time in order to remove distractions and focus our thoughts on God and His Word. Fasting is mentioned over 70 times in the Bible and a practice Jesus encouraged His disciples to develop their relationship with our Heavenly Father and to help others in their ministry.
HOW DO I FAST?
The most common of fasts is found in the book of Daniel consisting of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds. However, there are multiple things you can fast beyond food; tv or video games, certain activities, anything that you find comfort or fills areas of your life that, through fasting and prayer, God will fill.
Here are some resources to help you and/or your family to support you during this fast.
